Why why why do I clean an already clean house from top to bottom before I go away??!!

I've been like a mad woman this morning..Elvis BLASTING out (good job my nearest neighbour isn't too near me!! ) cleaning the house from top to bottom.

Don has volunteered to hoover. (Jumping up and down ecstatic smilie).

And I've done all the ironing. Hurrah.

I am now off to sit in the sun..it's really really warm..and have a cuppa and a slice of walnut cake.

Not bonkers...well not too bonkerish I think it's nice to have it all done so that you come home to a nice tidy house

I'm the same Ally, to the point of shampooing the carpets. It's so nice to come home to a clean house though so that you can ease yourself back into the housework after being away

Apart from the furniture being dusty the house remains surprisingly clean and tidy..including fresh towels in the bathrooms.

I know the girlfriends have something to do with it.

The last trip over as we were walking back up the drive Jacob was scurrying down said drive with a VERY full bin bag!!

I like to leave the place clean and tidy before I go away too - coming home to mess is depressing

I like to leave it nice and clean and tidy too. In reality, I'm rushing around so much at the end that the place looks worse than it normally does.

I'm another who likes to leave the place fairly clean and tidy when going away - apart from the obvious of not having to do housework as soon as we get home, I'm afraid I have the very depressing idea that if an accident happened either/both of us and family had to come in the house for various reasons, it would look ok
