After two days of high winds, rain and lots of cloud, the sun came out this afternoon - for about 10 minutes

So Grumpy and I sat outside, on the front step, with a beer, enjoying the fresh air, the amazed stares of people as they walked past all wrapped up in hats, scarves, gloves

Now the clouds are thicker, it's just a leeetle too cold to sit outside

The temperature has gone down to 17C

It's minus 2C here at the moment!

Not as bad as some other parts of the country though.
We are now wondering where to go for our holidays. It has to be somewhere hot!

Tavira is gorgeous - just up the road from us Some-one from the dm boards I've met many times was here 2 January a few years ago and we all got tanned, sat outside a bar, for a few hours. not this year though!

The Alentejo is such a lovely place - maybe when we move, you can get up to see us xx

Rodo, Mick and I fell deeply in love with Corfu last year. As you can see from my ticker it's not long until we go back there

I bet it can't get here soon enough Kaz Our neighbours and their children came back from a month in Florida on Thursday, don't think they know what's hit them

We decided not to go back to Madeira having been there twice and were wondering about Cyprus. We wondered whether to go back to Fuerteventura too.

I have been going to Praia da Luz in September most years with friends, but didn't go last autumn. I don't know - just can't decide. We have been to Italy and Spain a lot and don't fancy there.

No doubt we will hit upon something soon.
