No newspaper would have me aggers, I write what I believe and I wouldn't write what they wanted if I disagreed with it. But thanks for the sentiment, it's doing my ego a bit of good. Needed as work is not going as well as I would like right now.
I hope I haven't made you think more kindly of him? I thoroughly despise the man. I wasn't taken in in 97 and by 2001 I would have voted for Ghengis Khan before voting for him. However I do believe he was totally bound by his own parties machinations since WWII and it was a real blow to his aspirations to power.
I have watched and observed his actions, both as reported in the UK press and reported in the world press, since he first came to power. I've noticed the difference between what was said and what was done. Power and influence in the world was denied in country but wielded very heavily and with skill outside of the country. The duplicity was there for all to see, they just needed to broaden their horizons in what they read.
I don't have any bitterness over the Iraq thing because I never trusted him in the first place and I never thought we needed to have a WMD issue to take the regime down, if we were really going to do that. There's a few other regimes out there which need removing too, but, apparently, we aren't the world police. So the rest of them get away with it whilst they don't have anything we want. Or at least they don't deny us what we want which is another kettle of fish altogether.
There are 10 types of people in the world:
Those who understand Binary and those who do not.
