No way to behave.

Like them or loathe them UKIP are here to stay, and they, like any other political party, should be allowed to be heard. We should never censor what parties say. It is only by allowing them a voice that they can be challenged.

So, the shutting in of Nigel Farage and his local candidate for MP, Jane Collins, in their Rotherham office is something that those who are doing it should be ashamed of. And for local Labour MP, Sarah Champion, to tweet that it is "hilarious" beggars belief.

Does she find it hilarious when politicians in other countries are barricaded in their offices by an angry mob, or is she outraged? Would she find it hilarious if the mob barricaded her in and stopped her from speaking?

It is a slippery slope when this sort of behaviour becomes acceptable and a bit of a laugh, as history tells us. We really do not want to go there.

Yes, I fully agree with you. The rent-a-mob crowd are said to be Socialist Workers according to the Gruniad:

I bet those protesters are nowhere to be seen or heard when it comes down to the discussion of Pakistani grooming gangs in Rotherham.

And I hope today's incident boost UKIP's campaign in the town.

Labour and the SNP did exactly the same to them in Scotland.

If they're so bad and you're so good, then you can beat them on the argument. Not by numbers and loutery. Of course Rotherham is not really a sophisticated upper class town is it??? Rent a mob going cheap, beer and a good hounding, no problem....

I doubt it will damage UKIP there. More likely those who are appalled by the council will quietly turn up in numbers to vote their displeasure...

UKIP will, as a lifelong Conservative "be the party I will vote for". Out of Europe Yes!!. My hope is that Farage will get an excellent
Following. I would like to see Westminster cleaned out, of the paedophiles, cheats, and chancers and all those who are not fit to be called MP's, supposed representatives of the British "English populations" and all who lie through their teeth and get away with doing so.

From what I read and hear the more the media/rent-a-mob try to do the dirty on UKIP the more supporters UKIP picks up.

It is fairly obvious that the media and politicians are trusted no more to the point where if either of those tell the electorate what to do the more likely it is that many of them will do exactly the opposite.
