I have just started the final section of the book I am currently reading, "The Magicians Of The Gods" by Graham Hancock, which is summing up all the information contained in the earlier sections. I must say that he makes a very good case for his theory that Earth was once inhabited by beings with a highly-advanced intelligence, and I find it hard to disagree with his conclusions. He has been so thorough in his investigations, and I can see no reason to doubt his final verdict. I would certainly recommend this book - it is certainly an eye-opener. and full of interesting observations.

John, it is good to know that you enjoyed, or are still enjoying, the book. I think that I would also like it if it is available in the library.

I do like these sort of hypotheses because they send me off looking for answers, as I suppose they intend one to do. For me, however, I often find more logical explanations for some of the claims..... though I also hit blank walls as well.

Whatever, it created an interesting discussion.

I was so impressed and captivated by Magicians of the Gods that I intend to read it again.

However, I have been rather disappointed in my Kindle version of it, and had decided to
buy a proper book. The reason for this is because the Kindle illustrations are poor, and it
is a problem getting to the many notes situated at the end. So, this morning I went into
Waterstones and bought the hard-back version (£20 but with £4 off). I am delighted with
it, and am looking forward to many weeks of enjoyment.
