If you put a frog in boiling water, it will immediately jump out again. If, however, you put a frog in cold water and slowly raise the temperature it will slowly boil alive without jumping out….

It’s interesting that joining the EEC turned the majority of people in the UK into a load of Frogs in about 40 years…..

No stuff it turned the government into a bucket load of frogs
Not the once hard working British people
Who no longer believe politicians of any party

True but in this case, you really have to understand the ramifications of what you are voting for. The Scots, generally, did although they missed some really critical stuff which was being lied about which drove the massive punishment of Labour and the Lib Dems last year. In the EU debate, almost nobody in the UK knows or cares what it is all about. They just think it's comfortable and easy and so why change it.

Ditto the frog, who adjusts to the temperature of the water all the way until the meat begins to cook and then it's too late...

BTW the pun was a bit bad. Had you told the British people, in the 1970's, that joining the EEC would turn them into a load of Frogs, they'd have lynched you whilst telling you that they were "British" and not French.

Younger British people are no longer British. They are European with European attitudes. This is quite amusing really as the characteristics I remember as British would have us out of the EU in a trice....
