Who were in Greece and had not requested asylum, suddenly

the shipment of migrants back to Turkey was halted when migrants rushed to invoke asylum in big numbers to avoid deportation.

Also note that

On Monday, 202 migrants, mostly Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationals, were transferred from Greek islands in the Aegean to Turkey's coastal town Dikili in Izmir.

Yep all desperately in need of Asylum to avoid war and poverty.

The truth will out but very few are willing to say it. Note this news is in a Chinese publication. The Western press don't want to admit it...

The EU-Ankara accord under which migrants and refugees are to be deported to Turkey began on Monday, with 200 sent by boat from the Aegean islands of Lesbos and Chios to a small port on the Turkish coast.

But on Tuesday it was suspended because of a last-minute rush by migrants on the islands to claim asylum.
