Why does Hilary Clinton never get a slagging off?

Postby cromwell » 11 Oct 2016, 10:25

Just wondering. Because Trump gets slagged off all the time; he gets slagged off every day on BBC and Sky news. OK, you can see why. He's crude, obnoxious, boorish and loud.

But Hilary is no angel. There are incidents in her past going back years that could be used to whack her over the head with - but our TV news never mentions them. They have barely even mentioned her health issues and how they might affect her Presidency.

But wikileaks have now started releasing excepts from Hilary's private speeches to Goldman Sachs bankers, which she has refused to do and for which she was paid $625,000 dollars. And why she doesn't get slagged off becomes much clearer. Here are a few excerpts.

"My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders". In other words she goes along with the current system of economics, globalist capitalism. Export your manufacturing to low wage economies, import labour from low wage economies into high wage economies to keep wages and working conditions down. You can see why she's not keen on publicising this to American workers, millions of whom have lost their jobs due to globalism. Hilary is the candidate of the way things are, of the status quo, the Goldman Sachs candidate, the candidate of big business.

Trump, on the other hand, has threatened to pull out of the NAFTA trade deal with Canada and Mexico. Trump says that globalism has wiped out the American middle class. Donald Trump has threatened to pull the US out of the World Trade Organisation and levy duties on Chinese imports. Donald Trump not only believes in borders, he believes on building a wall on the Mexican border to keep illegal immigrants out! He believes in protectionism, not globalism.

Donald Trump in other words, is a threat to globalism, and that can't be allowed.

And that is why the TV continually tells us that Trump is a very, very bad man and that Hilary is just wonderful.

That is very interesting, Cromwell.

It will certainly be even more interesting if Trump does manage to get in.

I had an answer after only reading the thread title, but Cromwell pinched most of it, mind you it is his thread. ;)

Clinton is corrupt. There is no argument, the evidence is out there. Trump brought some of it up in the last debate, but the media does not want anyone to know so it keeps it under wraps.

She also wants a North Atlantic trade block of the US, Canada and the EU. She would drop Mexico if she could. TTIP is the initial deal in creating it. If the new bloc is created it could stand alone against the rest of the world and control the global economy.

Pretty much and the press and media work on Globalism earnings. So they keep quiet.

The BBC, on the other hand, is now a left wing activist group so they're not going to say anything nice about a right wing capitalist are they???

I'm going to watch with great interest to see if real common sense will overcome the media bias. It's going to be close I think.

Witness the "recordings" that are coming out of the woodwork now. From the Democrats? Not a chance, from the Republicans. Who are doing a better job of tearing themselves apart than the Labour Party.

Interesting times indeed.

Here we go.

It worked for Dominique Strauss Khan, why not Trump????

Let the games begin. The establishment is not going to let this one lie.

Whilst it's distressing and not something to be condoned, if you dismissed every politician for groping in the past, you'd empty most of Washington, most of the state legislatures and half of Parliament and the HOL....

But my doesn't it play well in the 21st century.

As someone who _never_ groped anyone, I can stand with the "animals who should be dealt with" brigade. But to use this for political gain 30 or more years later means I'm standing firmly with the "leave it the hell alone" brigade.
