Politicians must feel that they have to say something supportive and well intentioned, I just wish they wouldn't be so asinine. "We must not let these people divide us".
This presupposes that the "communities" of the UK are united, and they absolutely aren't, otherwise the security services wouldn't be having to foil home grown terrorist plots every other week, right?

But this propaganda supporting some fairy tale view of the world gets trotted out after every terrorist atrocity, Charly Hebdo, Nice, Bataclan, Berlin, you name it.

The image of the national flag projected on a building, a hashtag like #JeSuisCharlie, sad songs sung at a candle lit vigil - cliche heaped upon cliche. I wonder how long they can keep pumping it out?

Well bloody said, but they will keep on pumping so long as they think it is working. However, I am beginning to detect that it is going the same way as slinging out 'racist' or 'xenophobe' were used to stifle debate. People are fighting back and the lefty liberal pink marshmallow snowflake types are not liking it.

Anyhow, the alleged perpetrator is now dead thanks to the Italian police. Good darts, Giuseppe! I wonder what can be done overall though, to stop the spread of terrorism in the west. Probably not much more than we are doing now.

Well it has just been announced that London's 'square mile' is to be protected by a ring of steel. So much for everything being fine and dandy and us safe in our beds as we all get along like best mates.

You do not spend £5m on a ring of steel unless it is absolutely necessary, and when it is completed it leaves everyone outside of it just that little bit more vulnerable....

The trouble is, our mindset is predominantly defensive. We need to get on the offensive, and give the radicals in this country no quarter, and nowhere to hide. And stop pussyfooting around liberal-leftie-lovey sensibilities.

The main issue with that is the fact that you are going to sweep up some innocent too. It's inevitable.

The appetite for innocents being falsely accused is nil. So we won't do it till the pain of not doing it overcomes our scruples about innocents getting a hard time until they are proven innocent.

By pain I mean volumes of lives lost... It should be that even one life is worth the discomfort of someone to prove they are innocent.

Sadly that figure is a LOT higher. A LOT. Before we are no longer "ists" and are just defending ourselves.
There are 10 types of people in the world:
Those who understand Binary and those who do not.
