Apparently Davis carries his "negotiating with the EU" Bible with him to every meeting. Written by Varoufakis in a fit of hindsight. Wise man.
Now let us look at reality.
The EU wanted 100bn. They got 45bn
The EU wanted full rights for EU citizens and their families forever, overseen by the ECB, forever. They got full rights to remain for the residents, restricted rights for families time limited and 6 years ECJ.
The EU wanted a totally open NI border and to use it to force the UK to remain underr EU market restrictions forever. They got a border which is transparent but still there and with electronic controls.
Now if this is a fiasco, then I want a fiasco every day of the week. Especially as the money is contingent on "sufficient progress" with a trade deal. No deal, no money. Something which the UK will be reminding the EU of very soon.
The only poor performance, so far as the UK is concerned, so far, is the performance of the whingers in government who want to derail Brexit.
Why the leave camp is even entertaining talk about Brexitref2 I have no idea at all..
