Someone on another forum has said that the NHS will keep all the personal details they glean on you for 20 years.

I cannot confirm, but apparently it is said to be a clause buried in the Privacy Notice that no-one, of course, bothers to read ....

They won't be getting mine as I am not buying in. And if it becomes a legal requirement I will bin the phone.

I'll use 111 and 119 to report any symptoms but I will not be automatically tracked via Bluetooth app, GPS or RFID.

I think the trouble with that is if you dial 111 or 119 to report you have symptoms, you are effectively sticking your head above the parapet. That will trigger a visit or call from the Track and Trace team.
OK, it is voluntary at the moment, but if you refuse to co-operate with them, your card will be marked, sure as eggs is eggs, as the saying goes.
So what will inevitably happen is that if sad, paranoid conspiracy theorists (like me :D ) develop symptoms, the very last thing we would do it report to the authorities that we have them. And I'm sure you can all see the consequences of that ….
