Yesterday Chris (Failing) Grayling was supposed to be installed as the new chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee (ISC) even though many feel that he is a waste of rations. The King of the World had chosen him so nothing could go wrong, or could it? Step forward Tony Lewis.
When the committee clerk, as he is obliged to do, asked if there were any more nominations for chairman, Dr Lewis nominated himself. He was immediately backed by the three Labour and one Scottish National Party member and appointed chair by 5:4.
BoJoke and his supreme leader, Demonic, didn't like this so they have reverted to their old tactic of removing the whip from Dr Lewis. Well they do have form where that is concerned.
Their next move is likely to be to table a Committee of Selection motion, which can be debated and then voted on by MPs in the hope of removing Dr Lewis from the committee and replacing him with another Tory MP. This is likely because the current rules state that the chair is in place for the whole session of parliament. It's a risk as it could fail and put Mr Mop-head in a real predicament.
Unfortunately for them a motion was passed this morning to publish the "Russian" report, and by next week no less. This will really cheese off Dim and Dom as the whole point of the seven month delay in setting up the ISC and then putting a "yes" man in place was to bury the report.
