Usual Boris. No details, just throw a bucketful of cash at the problem.

My great worry is that all the cash will just disappear into the vast maw of the NHS and vanish without trace.
The NHS, like just about everything else in the UK has become politicised.
Why are they hiring diverstiy offices? Why are they putting out leaflets telling white people to feel guilty or whatever, by Aishnine Benjamin, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion lead at the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

What has "Equality, diversity and Inclusion" got to do with delivering babies?

Today we find out that the government's Health and Care bill includes this little tidbit.
The creation of forty two chief executives of "integrated care boards" in England whose jobs will be to "deliver joined up services" incorporating the NHS and social care providers.
The average pay for these positions will be £223,000 per chief exec. Some will be paid £270,000.

A couple of things.
How are forty two separate people going to deliver joined up services?
42 x 223,000 = £9,366,000. When you add in employers contributions for NI and pensions, you will be well past 10 million.

But mostly it's the attitude revealed by this sort of thinking.
The way to solve problems is to create more management positions.
Well, it isn't imo. More nurses, doctors - yes. More BS merchants building their empires (because everyone of these very important people will want their own empire) - no.
