We liked this so we must like that, so let's promote it. If you like Repair Shop you will get similar, if you like Chainsaw Massacre you are tagged. Sections of society end up constantly being fed the things the algorithms think they will like. People do not think for themselves anymore, the algorithms do it for them.

A variety of views is not allowed any more. If I do not agree with you there will be no debate, I will not listen, I will simply shout you down - to shut you up.

I disagree with Suff on many things, but we still get on and debate. If I disagree with some random bloke in the pub he might do me in. He might have picked a fist fight 30 or 40 years ago, nowadays he will pull out a knife.

Irritatingly Amazon prime have gone down this route even more by removing categories on the app versions. The Web still has it so #2 son finds his films on the Web then searches in the app.

I cancelled the subscription this month. That plus the lack of subtitles are just one step too far. Especially as 5 people are using the subscription and I see all their crap and none of my preferences.
