Ever felt hopeless

Unable to change anything?
It's all going to the dogs?
How do we stop things going to hell?
Nobody is doing anything about it?

You are not alone

Interesting article, Suff.

Last month, a poll of more than 3,000 French adults found that 68 per cent of them were depressed about the country’s future

No doubt you've also seen this ..

I hadn't ossie,

But comments like this show they have a long, long, long way to go before they come to reality

"Citizens now think that their national democracy is being subverted by the way the euro crisis is conducted."

Their national democracy is not being subverted by the Euro Crisis. It is being handed to Brussels on a plate by their politicians.

The sooner they realise this, the sooner they will start voting for some kind of change.

This is something I've personally experienced all over the EU in this last decade. People honestly still think that they live in an economic union "with riders".

They do not. They live in a political union with delusions of nationality. End of!

When they realise THAT..... Expect the Latin temperaments to act and act fast. It has been a long time in France since 16 million people demonstrated in Paris, the police fired live rounds on them and the republic fell. But not that long..... Not quite living memory for me but close.

This fits well with what I was pointing out on the other thread.

When trust flies the coop the electorate loses interest. We ignore them because they ignore us, that leads to frustration and .........?

We in the UK are well ahead of the game.

So are our politicians...... Lottery ticket anyone?

I know of it Kate. The "fake charity" that is training the leaders of tomorrow.
But it's more than that. Much public policy now originates in the "Third Estate". That great mass of Quangos, fake charities, pressure groups and think tanks - not one member of whom ever stands for election.
