University entry levels reach 49%.

So Labour's plan is nearly complete, another 1% and half the population will have degrees.

Well, not really. They won't be "real" degrees. They will be bits of paper designed to match the job description inflation of the modern world: Account executive = clerk; Foyer Ambassador = receptionist; XYZ Engineer = mechanic, or at best, technician.

Degrees are now necessary for the most mundane of jobs and the con trick has worked!

WM I used to work in a company and was classed a Marketing Assistant then the government at the time decided to close our company and drag us all into one big happy government family (NOT) My job was the same but I was classed as a Marketing Executive but still on the same pay scale though.
