Small convenience stores, local Co-ops, eight till lates, and those Supermarket Express type places are already suffering these thefts.

I was in the Co-op the other week when it happened and the staff just got the CCTV footage to give to the police as it is deemed too dangerous to challenge them. The police then give out a crime number and it is left to the insurance to deal with.

Back at the beginning of the 2000's they were doing this in Slough for Laptop thefts. It reached more than 30 a month and the thieves were starting to follow victims and either mug them or smash into their vehicles as soon as they stopped.

It was feeding drugs.
