It's word on word. How are they going to be able to "prove" anything?
For what it's worth I'm more inclined to believe Mitchell than the officer; Mitchell comes across as a man it's not easy to like but the Police, and more especially the Police Federation have not acted well in this matter.

I thought at the time that it was a bit 'playground', after all, "pleb" will not be the worst thing a copper has ever been called.

Now I am sick and tired of it and the amount of money and resources put into trying to solve the unsolvable, there being no sound recordings of the event.

So am I.

Whatever happened to the old saying, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but calling names won't hurt me" ?

It's a lot of fuss over nothing, in my opinion.

It's not a fuss over nothing though is it, since he lost his job over it :o
It was the police who made an issue out of it
