212,000 immigrants.

Postby Workingman » 22 May 2014, 10:16

That is the size of net migration to the UK in one year - 2013. 201,000 of them came from the EU, mostly from the poorer countries. 125,000 of them came for work reasons, meaning that 87,000 didn't come for work?

The number is slightly below the average for the years 2004 to 2013, but that is still the equivalent of a new Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester in a decade - about 2,500,000. It comes on top of the 800,000+ for the decade from 1994 to 2003.

There will come a time when this has to stop, if it doesn't I predict civil unrest on a large scale.

Page Hall in Sheffield Os. Trouble between Slovakian Roma and Yemeni youths. One Yemeni had his arm broken.
Sheffield council are in denial. BBC Look North never mentioned it (but might give it a 5 second slot if we have three nights of rioting) and Sheffield's World Champion Hypocrite, David Blunkett MP was wittering about the possibility of trouble last year.
Let's see - let everybody in, and then start whining about the trouble it causes? Hypocrite.

They can't add up 200bn budget deficit per year == 1tn public debt increase in one government.

So how could we expect them to equate the immigation with 2.5million in a decade. Especially when it means 2.5m more people to be catered to by the NHS, pensions and, potentially, benefits....

Expecting far too much... It sounds like you actually want them to run the country the way we want to run our home budget.... Obviously this is rediculous.

Isn't it???

No.

From the bottom up it is primary school arithmetic.

From the top down it is growth of the economy, a bigger market, more sales, more profit. more money, more, more, more.......

It cannot go on, and when it fails, which it will, we will have Bedlam writ large...... and not only in the UK.

It's already begun.

Have you heard the rumblings about China Debt and a potential banking/currency crisis there?
