Twenty five of them, all small or medium sized businesses, and fewer than 100 workers affected.
It is a start, but will employers who do not pay a living wage, meaning that their workers rely on benefits top-ups to their wages, also be named and shamed? Probably not, as many of them will be national or local government departments as well as some big names in industry.
And will companies that pay little or no tax be named, shamed and forced, by law, to do so? I will not be holding my breath.
