Turkey is unlikely to give Syrian and Turkish Kurds logistics support and arms when, at some time in the future, those same arms could fall into the hands of the PKK, a listed terrorist organisation by NATO the US and EU.

The above scenarion might only have a small chance of happening, but if I were a Turkish Government Minister I would be failing in my job if I did not take it into consideration. Not that it matters, NATO the US and EU would not allow it.

Well, were I a Turkish Minister I would be more worried about Turkey descending into yet another civil war with a small army of radicals right over the border with a stated aim of taking over my government.

Personally I'd rate that ten times higher on my threat meter than a few PKK with guns.... However a) they're usually not Military and b) they are not exactly strategic thinkers nowadays....
