By-elections

Postby Workingman » 30 Nov 2012, 19:13

Labour won all three.... Not that that is news, they held them anyway, and it is mid-term so the government gets a bashing. It's the law.

The news is that UKIP came second in two of them and the LimpDems lost their deposit in two. That is a monumental shift in power and one that could destroy the Tories as well as LDs in the next election.

That is frightening.

Maybe it's the start of the re-alignment of British politics that has been predicted for years. Maybe it's all for the good, who knows?
What I noticed was the turnout. 33% in Rotherham, 26% in both Croydon and Middlesborough.
People are giving up on politics and politicans.

Yes. Three MPs elected with the support of roughly 13% of the electorate. Some mandate.

The unbelievable actions of the Labour Council and social services who removed the three Eastern European
children from a loving caring foster family "Because they are UKIP supporters" decided who I shall vote for in the next election.. Without a doubt at the next election my choice will be UKIP.

It is beginning to look as though we could end up with a four-way party split with the Cons and Lab as the big two and the LibDems and UKIP as power brokers.

God only knows how that will work out.

I will vote for UKIP - if I'm still here.

I think our politicians need a good shake-up. I can't see that we would be any worse off with UKIP in power

The ideal solution might be a dictator - IF it was the right man.

Like almost every other government in the EU. Then perhaps we'd be happy as they are???????
