Michael Gove

Gove and his wife, the journalist Sarah Vine, have decided to divorce.
Not exactly a shock as she has been dropping hints about how power changes a man for some time in her Mail on Sunday column.

"Friends of the couple" say there is no one else involved. I suspect the papers may have something to say on that.
Certainly the Guido Fawkes website has been dropping hints. Apparently the Prime Ministers spokesman has been asked by the press pack where Gove would be sleeping tonight, on various different occasions.

Four days ago Gove said Johnson was right not to sack Hancock for having an affair.

In normal circumstances affairs may not matter too much to the general population. But after sixteen months of lockdowns, masks and "social distancing" it really does matter. Especially coming four days after it was revealed that Matt Hancock had been "social distancing" his fancy woman all over.

Gove and Hancock were both prodigious supporters of lockdown. Hancock has gone in disgrace and if Gove has been carrying on like Hancock did it's bad for the government.

Because it will reveal massive hypocrisy. Do as I do plebs, not as I say. Lockdown and social distancing for you, trips to the footie in Portugal and sex with a lady outside of our bubble for us.

Incidentally there was a rumour that Gove was having a gay affair with Dominic Cummings five years since, as referenced by DC's wife Mary Wakefield. But I don't expect that to be true.

I just read her MoS article. She's gone up a little in my estimation.

The biggest shock is that anyone would want to get into a relationship with Michael Gove.

You're on form this week.
Power really must be an aphrodisiac.
You'd never mistake Matt Hancock for Brad Pitt either.

The Telegraph is asking question re has Gove broken social distancing rules, and there has been no direct reply. Hmm.

To be honest I couldn't care if Gove was married to a donkey and betrayed her with an Arabian mare, or a whole herd of horses for that matter.

I'm more interested in the fact that he is a snake nobody can trust and that goes far deeper than any possible personal relationships. I find that this pseudo moralistic position of the press, when it suits them, is disingenuous and I choose to ignore it.

It is my feeling that this country, as a whole, has no appetite for overly moralistic MP's who seek to lecture them day and night.

What is more important is how faithful they are to job and the will of the voters.

Can't argue with that Suff.
Latest rumours is that Gove has been having an affair with a special adviser (Spad).
Some imply it's a bloke, others are stating it's a former girlfriend of his called S.imone F.inn who is a chum of Carrie Johnson.

I can't understand why the press aren't going after Gove like they went after Hancock; then again there is much I don't understand these days.
