Don't be so sure, this is the downside of heavily nationalised utilities. Extensive strikes.

Because of the legal changes in the UK around secondary picketing and the break up of national utilities, these kinds of strikes almost never happen in the UK any more. Witness Southern Rail, which would have precipitated National strikes in British Rail days.

Macron would LOVE to have the UK utility landscape. The reason he is most likely to lose is the very basis of French Utilities and the Government controlling stakes.
