in this case fossil burners are already being punished on the tax front. There is also a new "luxury" tax for 0ver £40k vehicles which kicks in from year 2. This was created because they knew that EV's were going to be much more expensive than normal cars.

Now that solid £30k and potential £25k EV's are on the horizon, expect these tax laws to change again.

And I also intend for my next car to be a small diesel so that I can go the DIY biodiesel route if needs be. Sodium hydroxide, methanol and vegetable oil are all readily available and cheap, and renewable.

Unlike the elements cobalt, nickel, copper and lithium for batteries.

I'm reliably informed that they do over 100mpg on their Diesel putput.

Not cool though, you don't need a full driving license to drive them here as they only do 35mph. Tend to be sold to people who have mental issues or have learning difficulties which stop them getting a driving license....
