There are refugees and there are asylum seekers, then there are fake refugees, bogus asylum seekers and economic migrants.
I have no problem with those in the first two categories, and if I was one of their number I am sure that I would not mind so much about being held for a short while in an ex military camp where I was fed, watered, clothed and had access to interpreters and medical facilities until my claim was validated. If the barracks were good enough for the troops they would be good enough for me, and they would be miles better than the hell-hole I left.
The rest I would send to Justice Cromwell's court where I assume with a bang of his gavel he would send them back to the first safe country (as defined by the UN) they entered when leaving their homelands. That's International law and we should apply it rigorously and not pander to the beeldin' hearts brigades.
