6 o'clock and 10 o'clock were once essential viewing. Not any more.

We have access to far more news, as deep as we would like to go, without ever switching the TV on or opening a newspaper.

It is odd that the more society drives towards talking heads on exponentially more media outlets, the more I move to the written word and avoid the broadcasts.

I watch very little video news now whereas I always used to watch it.

I actively avoid the news if I can, we switch BBC2 on at 6 to watch House of Games, always a good half an hour! I watch pre recorded Classic Coronation Street on a morning before work and we go to bed at 10 usually....

THere was a long item on BBC this morning about the debate on abortion in USA. Didn't watch it just kept going back to see if it had finished.

Turn to another channel if it mentions Covid19. No mention of flu vaccinations or deaths.
No maps showing where the power lines are down. BBC just say Cumbria Aberdeenshireand mention little villages but not how far they are from big towns.
