Osc, the Holiday Inn which was getting smashed up on O’Connell St was the one where we stayed in September. There was no hint of it being used as a hostel then. I know that over here they close to paying customers and you get the residents hanging around the entrances, but there was none of that then, I’ve just checked and it’s still open for bookings. Most likely a rumour that’s gone around which resulted in more violence and damage.

Jo, that’s just opposite where Edward and I went to college, we would rarely be up that end of O’Connell Street now. Last Saturday though, we actually walked along the parallel street at the back. The area has changed considerably in those *cough* 56 *cough* years!
