I hope Ex-B is OK, he always came across as one of nature's gentlemen. 200mph winds though; no wonder so many have died and so much devastation has been wrought.
"Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored" - Aldous Huxley
Lovely Man--just pray that he is safe and also his wife, little girl and extended family. What a terrible thing to happen--it is almost impossible to comprehend.
These things hit places all the time and we watch in wonder.
How different they are when they hit someone we 'know', even though it has only ever been in cyberspace. It somehow 'personalises' these disasters, makes them more real.
I am not religious, but I will ask the Universe to look after ex-B and those he loves.
I second that Frank. I an attempting to find out if cousin and a friends son is ok in Vietnam, the friends father flew out there on business last week. I look at the news and my heart breaks for the millions who are suffering.
You will be pleased to hear that ExB and his extended family are all safe. He'd made sure they had enough food and water for everyone in his home. He made preparations such as cutting down his palm trees etc.
