DT excellent post. We do not accept the word "being English" any more "I Am English" every government /council form refers to the indigenous as British these days so as not to offend those who are the minority in many towns.

The parties are full of fraudsters and yes crooks who get away with their crimes like B'Liar responsible for over one million innocent Iraqi men women and children's deaths, and God knows how many in Afghanistan making over £100m to add to his portfolio. This was a man when in power who could not afford to pay his mortgage.who invaded Afghanistan to "get rid of the poppy fields that have increased tenfold"
The only thing we have left is our birthright that is English and "we are even denied that so as not to offend."
My adopted daughter is British, I had to smile when on our way home from an overseas post
She was chatted too in a different language in a lift, she is Indonesian they asked if she was Chinese
She replied "I am English" we had to smile. Sadly English is a dirty world these days.
