What surprised me, really surprised me having seen the interview, was that the gay and liberal communities were not up in arms at a government Minister linking extremism to homophobia. It is a pretty much "out there" philosophy by any stretch.

Gay and Liberal communities believe in an extreme form of minority rule.

Why would they say that a view which is counter to theirs is not extremist? If they link normal standard views to extremism, they get everything they want.

When I see this kind of stuff I just grind my teeth and, when voting opportunity occurs, I cast my vote to convey my displeasure. As is my right and as was seen in the last election...

The idea of a gay marriage is just
too ridiculous

I have nothing whatever against gay people, but this is more or less what I think too. Not in an angry or aggressive way, but the idea of two men getting married just makes me smile a bit. Which I suppose must be a criminal offence of some kind.

It's like saying that that wall over there, which for centuries has been a brick wall, is now a wooden fence; and if you disagree we will arrest you.

Aggers and Cromwell, under Morgan's rules If you were still at school and expressed such views you could be reported to the police and social services by school staff as a potential extremist. In Morgan's weird world the two are connected and you could be taken in for questioning.
