And those British citizens beheaded by IS?

Their fault apparently.

I read that headline. Didn't even open the article, not worth it. I just thought, +1 for the drones now how about another 500 of the scum!!!!

And they can print that if they want!

Oh course it is.

That is the obvious solution, although the "powers that be" haven't the brains to realise it.

When people go into politics for a living, do they leave their brains behind? I really do wonder.

An awful lot of them leave their integrity behind Aggers, that's for sure.

All elected politicians, to some degree or other, categorise things in the following terms

How will it look to the voters
How can they spin it to look better
What will be the impact to them personally

After that comes

Honourable
Right
Just
Sensible
Obvious

If you are lucky....

It is one of the reasons I am violently opposed to an elected second chamber. It will just be more of the same in a different wrapping.

I've had to turn the BBC News off again tonight. The bias is just terrible. Talk about "let's all feel sorry for the migrants"...

No balance whatsoever, just non-stop propaganda.

I must confess that I feel the same. I have my own views on how the present
crisis should be handled, but everything one sees on BBC News now seems to
be aimed at confusing the issue. It is almost as though the BBC is treating all
these news items as though they were episodes in one of their Soap Operas.

Personally I'd like to see the figures of the "ethnic balance" of the BBC editorial team.

I'm not going to but I certainly would like to.

Mustn't be xenophobic, now, or ole Banky Moon will slap your wrist ........

The Secretary-General appealed to these leaders to be the voice of those in need of protection and to quickly find a joint approach to address their basic needs. As European leaders, their stand against increasing xenophobia, discrimination, and violence against migrants and refugees in Europe is particularly important. He hoped that any manifestation of these phenomena would be addressed firmly and without delay.

1st link:
State prime minister Bodo Ramelow, from leftist party Die Linke, suggested that part of the problem was housing different nationalities together.

And that will magically disappear once they are housed in the wider communiuty will it?

2nd link:
The [UN] Secretary-General: He stressed that the large majority of people arriving in Europe are refugees fleeing war and violence, who have a right to seek asylum without any form of discrimination.

He forgot to mention " in the first safe country they arrive in" meaning that in the first instance it is NOT a European problem. It has only become a "European" problem because the EU has failed, under international law, to secure its external borders.
