These people are supposed to be campaigning for my side of the debate yet all I hear from them is negative. In recent weeks we have had the shock to the economy, a lack of co-operation on security, damage to the future of our youth all courtesy of the BBC falling over itself to promote any anti-Brexit story.
Today it runs with an interview with former Cabinet Secretary and ex Civil Servant, Gus O'Donnell. He is now claiming that Brexit negotiations could take up to a decade to conclude, leaving the UK in a trade limbo. He cites Greenland's exit saying that it has a population smaller than Croydon and that fishing was its only issue, but that its exit took three years to negotiate.
My take is that the Croydon/fishing scenario is precisely why the negotiations took so long. There was nothing the Greenlanders could do to force the EU to the negotiating table. The UK is a totally different animal. It is the fifth largest economy on the planet and a hugely significant trading partner within the EU. When the UK 'invites' the Eurocrats to the table they will turn up in their droves.
If people in Remain do not start telling the truth I will abstain from the whole thing.
