Little and often.

Sainsbury's is dropping its Brand Match scheme because more of us are shopping more often, but for fewer items. As there is only me here it is what I do and I have noticed the change.

I go about four times a week and usually only buy enough to fill one fairly large bag. The number of shallow trolleys has increased phenomenally as has the number of self-serve tills for baskets only.

We seem to be going forward to the past.

The cynic in me says that Sainsburys are dropping the Brand Match scheme because it's costing them too much money ....

I wonder how long the Asda 10% Price Guarantee scheme will survive. I'm regularly get £3 to £4 back on a £30 to £60 shop and that's without changing our normal "shopping list" in any way.

I think you're right though - we're tending to do smaller shops more frequently.
