Running battles in Paris

I suppose it is only because of the Internet that these stories ever get out. It has made it impossible for the authorities to keep the lid on such things.

But it now makes me wonder how many more unofficial illegal migrant camps there are in mainland Europe (EU) and what troubles are going unreported in the mainstream media.

An awful lot I imagine. The BBC would never run this kind of story unless it became too big to ignore. Same with Sky.

I found these with a few seconds Googling. Roma and Africans riot on Christmas day in Spain.

Migrants riot in Austria after being denied Halal food.

African migrants riot in Italy demanding better accommodation

migrants riot in Sweden

In fact if you google "migrants riot" and add any European country name, you'll probably get some hits.

It doesn't fit the BBC's narrative of noble sufferers crossing burning deserts and mountainous seas, seeking only a better life, so it doesn't get shown.

The makeshift camp was until the end of last month the temporary home of nearly 1,000 migrants, from Afghanistan, Somalia, Eritrea and Sudan.

None of whom should be in the EU at all....

They make their own problems by not sending them back.
