Chairlift incident at the Lecht

I was speaking to #2 daughter today and she told me about the accident on the one and only seated chairlift at the Lecht.

So I was speaking to #1 son later and he told me he was the second officer at the scene. Fortunately the injuries seem to have been relatively minor although they were taking no chances with back injuries. Anybody who seemed to have injured their back were helicoptered out to hospital.

Apparently a few broken legs but nothing that shouldn't heal.

I'm thinking of both the children and the families tonight. I hope everyone is safe and that the families are assured of their care and comfort.

What a frightening experience for those poor little children.

I'm glad no-one was seriously injured.

Suff, I hope that none of your family were involved as victims of the accident.

It happened late on Tuesday afternoon, as far as I can tell, and only got a fleeting bit of coverage on the news that I saw. :o

None of mine but my daughter will be staying with #1 son next week and skiing at the Lecht…..

Close call.

Like my brother was in the world trade centre exactly 1 week before it was destroyed. My parents seem to find countries where a war or terrorist bomb happens immediately after they left. Sometimes only by hours…
