Do we have to put up with this in the UK?

Postby Workingman » 27 Jul 2016, 10:05

A woman died in Pakistan under suspicious circumstances. Her husband believes she was the victim of an honour killing. His MP, Naz Shah, who wants to get to the truth, has apparently received death threats.

Why is it then, in 'Hate crime' Britain, that arrests have not been made? If I threatened an MP the police would be round before I put the phone down, yet some people, communities, seem to be untouchable.

Do the authorities not realise that their actions and behaviour are a major cause of hate crime. When people see others being let off for things they would get punished for it creates tension, tension where none should exist.

Absolutely. Untouchable.

The ethnic community in Small Heath / Saltley here raised such a fuss a few years back when is was mooted that a CCTV / car monitoring camera system be installed around their area that it was cancelled. Anywhere else in Birmingham, the local residents would have been ignored!

Ossie, a similar thing happened in Beeston, Leeds, last year.

A woman was dragged into a garden, beaten with a rock and raped - she was left for dead. Police increased patrols in the area when looking for the assailant, but a request was made for them to be 'toned down' so as not to threaten the community.

I will leave readers to ponder the make up of that community.
