French police fire bombed

Just seen this on RT news. Four French police officers have been hurt when their vehicles were attacked with molotov cocktails in the Le Grande Borne suburb of Paris.

What a job that must be. Having to patrol a run down, crime ridden slum with inhabitants who are quite willing to injure or kill you. I haven't seen the story on the BBC or Sky yet, we'll see if they get round to it.

Strange place, Paris.

In the original arrondisments inside the peripherique it is not bad. Between there and its version of the M25, the A86, it gets worse, but some places are good. Step outside of that and into the banlieues and it is Hell.

I worked in Issy, just outside the peripherique, and my route to CDG depended on the time of my plane back. One took me through Créteil and Rosny, the other went through Saint-Denis, and you would have to see these places to believe it. The Third World, and all it holds, comes to Paris.

I was told by colleagues that there are no-go areas for the local police and Gendarmerie, even the CRS stay clear. Whites do not go there: ever.

Yep you don't take the old N1 into Saint-Denis unless you are braver than angels.... It's always been pretty bad but it is getting worse.

However they did clean up the worst of the camps under the RER B when I was heading up to CDG. It was for the Olympics bid and it stuck. However they just moved them on, they never solved the problem.

Just like the Swedish police who, when they have to attend a call in the Moslem areas of Malmo, take two cars. One to attend and the other to protect the car of the officers who are attending...
