First of all, sorry about this because I know most VV ers can't get BBC Look North from Leeds. But this individual is I think pretty typical of the people they employ.

This gibbering far-left chimp calls the Conservatives the new Nazis. I am no fan of Teresa May's but I don't think that she's fixing to invade France any time soon, or building any gas chambers.

It is a pity that the odd-looking Danny Carpenter can't get some exposure to real Nazis in order to give him a sense of perspective.

Cromwell, I read plenty of comments on the BBC News website and the accusations of political bias are everywhere, but from both sides. These are used by the BBC to claim its neutrality.

What I suspect is happening is that the BBC is being opportunistic. It looks at its local audience and the political leanings of the majority of its people and preaches to it. So in the North it is left-wing, in the Shires it is right-wing and in the West it is probably more liberal.

Carpenter, as is true of many of his ilk, is book-leaned, and all from the same books. They have no real-world experience to speak of so to (try to) stifle any debate they resort to using words they do not know the proper meaning of - Nazi, xenophobe, racist and bigot - because all their mates use them and they sound right.

Thankfully the rest of us can hold them in contempt and ignore them.

Sadly there is an entire generation out there who don't have that knowledge and trot out the Biased Broadcasting Corporations drivel as the word of the lord....

My FIL was at some of the concentration camps after the war before he was demobbed. He told me that with some of the soldiers they had to be physically restrained from rounding up the camp guards and summarily executing them. It was that bad.

So when some political wannabe start spouting off about Nazi's, I tend to get a tad annoyed.
