Trump polling ahead of Clinton

And the $ is dropping against the £ and the €. Nice to know that the markets have something bigger to worry about than Brexit and the “whiplash” political statements coming out of the UK.

I have read some interesting comments about the 2016 US election campaign. One of them was about how it will change campaigning in the future as it is possible to be a “real person” and still win votes. Campaigns have almost been destroyed by one or two unfortunate statements. Now they know you can say all sorts of “unacceptable” things and the LGBT lobby amount to about 0.8% of the votes. The pink frilly skirt amount to about 3% of the votes and the rest want to know what the candidate really thinks. Love them or HATE them, they really want to know.

Trump is talking about repealing affordable healthcare and voters are voting for him. Why? Because they paid for their health insurance and they don’t see why they should pay for everyone elses. In America those who stand to gain from “Obamacare” are actually less than those who stand to lose. Or at least that is how it is viewed by the majority of the population. Give it a generation and anyone who wanted to take away affordable healthcare would be lynched. But it needs to be there for a generation to enable the attitudes to become ingrained.

How very strange!

We have had weeks, months, of wall-to-wall coverage of the US election campaigns. They have trashed Trump and praised Clinton. They have brought out supporters of Clinton and defenders of her past - emails etc. They have brought out Trump detractors and criticised his past and that of his family members. It has gone on and on....

Now we have one poll, just the one, showing that all they have done is not working, and it has all gone quiet.

We all know that polls can change the direction of an election, so maybe that is why the media is keeping a low profile on this one.

Billy Boy was the darling of the press and they like them. There is tons of evidence out there that both he and Hilary have monetised the "Clinton" brand in exactly the same way Blair did with his. OK it plays rather better in the US where they believe that you build on what you have achieved and use it to make money when you can. That is a core tenet of their society so it even plays well with the poorer communities.

However the way it has been done and the things he has said and done are leaving a increasingly sour taste in the mouth (pun intended)...

Because the press intend to make zillions out of a Clinton Dynasty in the white house, they are doing their utmost to see Trump off. But the sad fact Is that this contest has nothing positive about it at all. In the end the winner will be the person the public dislike least. Right now that's looking like Trump because, simply put, Clinton has trust issues with the people and they are starting to really believe the stories that she has been making money out of Government whilst IN government. Something you are not supposed to do. Well outside of the drugs and the condo's and the trust funds and the sexual favours and the wild sex parties... You know, business as usual stuff...

We walked past Trump's star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood last week. It was covered in spit.
A couple of days later it was on the news that someone had gone along and smashed it up.

And, ironically, the news boosted his polling results.

Naturally. Trump is quite popular in certain areas but even where he isn't that kind of activity is seen as neo liberalism and akin to burning the flag. It's a big vote draw for the Republican side and does nothing for the Democrats.

Oh well. Just a week to go. Should be interesting.

This is the interesting thing to me. The media have been massively pro-Clinton. CNN even took suggestions from the Democratic National Committee about the questions they should be asking Trump.

The polls only last week showed Clinton with a double digit lead? Really?

I'll say it again - polls are being used to try and influence how people vote, not reflect how they intend to vote. They are being used as a political weapon (and failing).

I have no idea how trump will go as President, but the Democratic party have only themselves to blame. Bernie Sanders would have thrashed Trump, imo, but people at the top of the Democratic party stitched it up as much as they could for Clinton.

They selected a candidate in Hilary Clinton who more than half of the country doesn't like or trust! How stupid is that?

The globalist team have lost, again. We are moving into interesting times.

Well he has made it.. "Give the man a chance".. Let us hope he and his family stay safe.. He faces unbelievable danger having observed the reaction of the Clinton Clan, and the public, and those who gathered to celebrate at a party as they thought to celebrate her success.. "Never take anything for granted"
