Headlines like

This, we can do without.

Especially when the first paragraph of the article backtracks from the headline. Not amused.

It's all "seems to imply" and "hints". The £ is on for another rollercoaster as it bounces back up to €1.18. Bound to crash when Boris or someone else says "Yes we're looking for the best deal we can get but we're still leaving the customs union".....

Oh dear!

BBC, Sky and Reuters all carry the same story, and each has its own twist. The only commonality is the talk of this "transition" period.

The whole thing is becoming a farce, or a bigger farce, if you will.

Brexit?

Anyone?

Hmmm, well I'll give this BBC post about 7/10.

It is pretty honest and pretty direct. But it is still biased to what they think "should" happen as opposed to what will happen.

I wonder if it has ever occurred to _any_ of them that the only agreement we may be able to make with the Aggrieved (other 27), is Hard Brexit, followed by a deal later.....

None of the press seem to be thinking about that but, in my experience, it's more likely than not.

I read that as well.

I think that it has occurred to many of them that the most likely deal is Brexit proper, as was voted for, and for deals to be made after it is in place. The problem for them is that they have to keep business, and Remainers, sweet and calm, and at the same time to draw some of the softer Brexiters back into the fold, as they see it.

What they fail to see is that many Brexiters are taking the harder line, and that some Remainers, not just me, now want a clean break so we can start afresh. It is what the majority voted for.

There is a famous political quote somewhere. "We asked the people and they told us. The B@stards"....

When did they ever care what we wanted? Except on election day?
