Say he's never going to be Presidential.

But, then again, given that he IS the president and barring impeachment or assassination he's going to remain the President for the next 4 years, perhaps Trump is re-defining "Presidential".

That thought brought a smile.

One should remember that he was voted in by the American people.

To ridicule him is to ridicule them. That's why I deplore those who object to him
coming to Britain to meet our Queen. That line of thought is an insult to the American
people and our 'special relationship'.

The media certainly does not like not having him in its pocket, and to be fair to him he does not appear to be afraid in the slightest.

And it is not just an American thing. Populations all over the place are asking serious and awkward questions of their media and are not liking or agreeing with the answers given. We could be entering a whole new era of news provision.

Certainly he spent a good 80 minutes giving the press anal reconstruction yesterday.

From rumours going around he's also likely to use the military (potentially national guard), to get around the courts and start evicting illegals.

If anyone thought that the first month was a rough road, I doubt they are prepared for what is coming next.

Although it looks like the establishment is setting up to take Trump down over Russia. I wonder how many independents are going to wind up in the Senate and the House come November 2018?? That, I'm guessing, would be the strongest endorsement of Trump yet and put both the Democrats and the Republicans on the back foot. Forcing America into a true 3 party system might be a legacy which would do the US some real good.

Regardless it's the best show in town right now.

I had a good laugh when during the press briefing Jon Sopel got up on his soapbox as 'the man from the BBC' and asked if Trump knew who he was. Trump immediately slapped him and the BBC down. Later, when being interviewed from the studio, Sopel was visibly and audibly furious that he should have been treated in such as way by..... an American President!

It made my evening.

Indeed - when I saw that interview clip ..... "The BBC? Ah, another beauty ..." .... I was left reflecting that Trump's views on the principal UK broadcast news medium weren't that dissimilar to my own ....
