Boom bang a bang.

Not Lulu, but the latest suicide bomber in Iraq.

This one however was called Ronald Fiddler from Manchester and after being captured by the US in Afghanistan, had been banged up in Guantanamo Bay.

After being released from Guantanamo, poor Mr Fiddler was given compensation by our government in 2004, rumoured to be £1 million.

Now Mr Fiddler has gone to his maker in an exploding truck you have to think that maybe the Yanks had him weighed up correctly and Mr Blair's government did not.

It's just a pity that Mr Fiddler didn't have a few of his mates sitting next to him when he pressed the button.

But, come on crommers, you know that the press are going to say that Gitmo "radicalised" him. I mean, that £1m or so really didn't do much but make it easier for him to take that radical view he clearly already had and push it even further.

I wonder how much of that money is left and how much of it is in the hands of IS??

I've pretty much stopped worrying about this now. There is no will within the developed world (outside of Russia), to fight fire with fire and resolve this situation once and for all. You just have to look at the actual size of IS to realise the size of the problem and why it's so hard to get rid of them. 25,000 "fighters". The British Army has 22,000 Infantry of whom many are not front line.

We have made this mess and now we are unwilling to resolve it, either abroad or at home. So we will suffer the consequences.

I can't see the future Suff (probably just as well) but I don't see the triumph of ISIS either. We live in interesting times and who knows how things will shake out?

And, of course, Amnesty International has just published a report about how divisive new political speak has become and the problems it is causing.

There is no mention about how divisive driving trucks into innocent bystanders, turning restaurants and entertainment venues into shooting galleries or blowing up people on public transport are. Oh no! They are our fault for not being inclusive enough.

It's why they wanted the RIPA, so they could without having to ask permission. I suspect that they feel, or know, that the judiciary is compromised in areas where they really need warrants.
