I never thought I would hear this.

A Minister of the Crown, Rory Stewart, says that "British IS fighters 'must be killed'".

He says this is the only way to deal with them as "in almost every case" they pose a serious threat to the UK. He claims that they have been brainwashed by an "extremely hateful doctrine" that is counter to any allegience with the Britain.
The government said his comments were in line with the UK's stated position.

I agree, but I do not see any way of carrying it out without breaking some International law or other whilst at the same time impinging their 'uman rights.

Get the compo claims out.

Hmm, it is the stated position of the UK government that UK IS fighters, fighting outside of the UK (Iraq, Syria), are legitimate and even priority targets for elimination.

There has been lots of angst about this but, in short, they're not in the UK and by fighting UK forces they are committing treason.

What we need to do, urgently, is bring back the death penalty for certain kinds of treason (such as fighting British forces), then we can either kill them on the battlefield or imprison and execute them when they come back.

Something to look at in April 2019.

Perhaps he is right. If we don't make a firm stand about these evil people, we will no doubt suffer in the future.

I agree with Suff when he says, "What we need to do, urgently, is bring back the death penalty for certain kinds of treason (such as fighting British forces), then we can either kill them on the battlefield or imprison and execute them when they come back."

They are treasonous! I have no problem with them being legitimate targets out there or, if returned, locked up and the key thrown away! Executing on UK soil would just make martyrs of the buggers, they'd be lining up for that :?
