One man v BIG company - man wins.

Postby Workingman » 13 Mar 2018, 11:57

The man, Seph Pochin, faced delays on 183 of his 550 journeys of 25m / 40km between Halesworth and Ipswich - 33%. One was of a 100 minutes delay.

He complained and complained, but was geting nowhere so when the company failed to agree a date for mediation he snapped and took out a smalls claim court order for £350 (in compensation) - he won. The company, Greater Anglia, failed to pay as it was hiding behind its own rules for compensation and as Mr Pochin did not agree with those rules he took further action - the bailiffs..

A judge agreed with him so now the bailiffs can go in and seize goods.

Maybe more of us should follow his lead and take direct action against big business and, especially, councils and government and force them to up their game.

Well done him.

The small claims court is automatic nowadays. You win and the loser does not pay? Bailiffs.

Most interesting is that the small claims court limit is now £10,000.

I have used them recently. Once against TMobile and once against a computer manufacturer who was going under and using new orders to stay afloat.

Both were successful.
