Human trafficking.

Police have carried out raids and made arrests in businesses in Brighouse, Halifax and Hebden Bridge, but they are being very coy about the details. One female victim has been branded like a farm animal to let other gangs know who "owns" her, but apart from that little else.

The towns mentioned have a heavy presence form a certain "community" and the few hints coming out suggest that the businesses, gangs and their victims are also from this community. Is that the reason for the police toning down the reports? If it is it is a disgrace.

Were the gangs and businesses white or of Eastern European origin the police would be out with both barrels blazing calling for closures and for people with information to ring, text, email....

This PC bullexcrement has got to stop. We are all supposed to be equal under the law.

I never thought I would read about stuff like this happening in the UK. Absolutely appalling and it is being kept very quiet.

Time to look up the Enoch Powell speech, dubbed rivers of blood and actually read it.

It may not represent current mores, but the warnings were clearly articulated. Nothing was done.

We are where we are because we ignored those warnings.

Suff, there was a TV programme a few years back looking at the treatment of veg pickers based in Boston. They interviewed the victims and reported using actors and pixilated faces to keep them anonymous and safe. Reporters and cameramen then followed British farmers and gang masters and questioned them about what was alleged. They were named and shamed, and rightly so.

This latest turns that on its head and hides the criminals, and it is the police doing it. It is wrong, very wrong.

I have done the Enoch Powell thing many times and down the years it has been twisted out of recognition by the media.
