They are calling for governments to step in and create laws outlawing such things as harmful content, election integrity, privacy and data portability.
This is all well and good, but it is their job. They provide the platforms for such things to take place and they make a bundle of money out of it. Let them get their houses in order before coming to the public, users and non-users, to fund their own policing.
If they put a lot more effort into restricting such practices I would be all for helping them out. Until they do that my take is that they should be prosecuted for hosting each and every instance of what are already crimes. Despite their bleating they do have the means and the money to sort things out.
