Thinks we are Part Time Europeans.
By his definition I agree. Because his definition is that three French speakers come up with a document and push it to the commission, the commission votes on it and the UK says "what planet are you on" and tells them they won't sign it. The three French speakers refuse to change it and so the other 27 finally agree that the UK can "opt out" of parts of it so that the rest of the EU can get on with having their lives run for them.
By this same token, the Danes are part time Europeans, so are the Dutch. Oh and the Irish too.
The Spanish and Greeks, on the other hand are excellent Europeans. They just agree and sign it, then ignore everything it says.
But it is nice to know what the odious little creep really thinks of us.
Don't go, he said, you need us. Now it's "Bugger off you were always more than you were worth and we'll take the pain or you leaving. Yes that pain I said we were not going to experience because you are too insignificant".
I note that the Guardian and the Independent haven't put this anywhere Google news has listed it. After all you don't really need to know what our good EU "Friends" really think of us, do you?
