How can this be right?

A monster is convicted on 37 counts of sexual assault, including rapes and kidnapping and gets 33 life sentences, but only has to server a minimum of 30 years. He'll be 64 if that is the case so will still sexually active / capable and therefore still a danger.
A man's life is about 70 years so 33 is 2,310 years. I might let him out with 30 years off at 2,280 years or, if he accepts chemical castration, on the day of his funeral, whichever comes first.
Life should mean life for some crimes, even with one sentence.

For people like him, where is it clear cut, then lethal injection should be the way to go. I never thought I would say that, but his crimes were heinous

I simply do not get this stupid idea of multiple life sentences. We only get one life.
Does the justice system honestly think that by giving concurrent sentences we, the plebs, really think that the criminal has been hit hard, more so than giving a fixed term, every second of which has to be served?
Or, for some, the injection - their choice.

Life should mean life. I don't go along with the view that convicted murderers should be allowed some hope that they will eventually be released. Alternatives could be castration or a lethal injection. I don't care which.

It seems as meaningless as the American system where they get 233 years or some such crazy sentence.
Whatever happens, though, this person should never, ever be let out of prison.

I know a little about this so I looked up release on standard licence.
So life is life, but the 33 years has to expire before he gets the Right to request release on license.
If the parole board reject his application to release on license, then he stays In.
This is a 2001 change to the law to try and reduce time in prison. The offender does, however, have to serve the mandatory time in life sentence cases.
I guess it comes down to how much you trust the parole board.
I'm not so much for lethal injection, not enough fear attached. I'm for hanging. But I'm a barbarian.....

Some crimes are so awful that the death sentence is justified. And this man's crimes fall into that category.
Inert gas is painless andc should be considered.
