It did not take long for me to believe poor Maddie was dead and that is why I was so critical of the 'Find Maddie' campaign. I do not blame the McCann's for continuing to hope but for me it was always a distraction. Unfortunately I do not think that Maddie will ever be found.

It has always been so near and yet so far with the various leads that have come to nothing. I hope this time the investigation will yield results and keep this paedophile behind bars. I have read he is due to be released into society within the next few days or so. He may have connections to other missing children too, so hopefully there could be closure for more than one family.

The German police must know something that is not in the public domain yet, otherwise they wouldn't have said what they did.
I am wondering if this guy has made a confession to a fellow inmate? It does happen outside the movies, I guess ....
